I am open to submissions.

If you submit to me, please take note of the following:

 

Your manuscript must be properly formatted and type-set, with chapter headings. Use a 12-point font and I personally prefer Times New Roman. Make sure the manuscript is double-spaced, with at least three or four carriage returns between the chapter heading and where the chapter starts. It is pleasing to the eye to see a page that has a nice balance between type setting and open space.

The body of the email should include (no attachments):

  • Contact information
  • Your query letter

If I ask to see a partial, please send me a synopsis of your book and the first three chapters as attachments. It’s too hard for me to read a partial chapter or a synopsis in the body of an email.  This is a change from my prior instructions.
